NEW ADULT HANDBELL CHOIR DIRECTOR:
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Carol McCoy has been appointed director of the First Presbyterian Church Adult Handbell Choir beginning in the Fall of 2012. Carol has been a member of the staff at First Presbyterian Church since 1994 as assistant to the Director of Music. Carol wears many hats. Her current responsibilities in the ministry of music include leadership in the Chancel, Senior and Cherub Choirs. During the summer you will find Carol leading our week-long Music Camp or in Montreat tending to the large contingent of Presbyterians from Gainesville who spend a week in the mountains of North Carolina. During the year Carol can be found taking the Cherub Choir on field trips, caroling to homebound members, rehearsing the Joy Gift Musical, parking cars for the Homecoming Parade and along with members of the Cherub Choir, delivering cutie pies to our homebound
members. We are confident that Carol can provide the necessary leadership and vision for the Adult Handbell Choir. Her vast experience and depth of knowledge has been an asset to First Presbyterian Church and the Director of Music. We know the Adult Handbell Choir will enjoy ringing and working with Carol as they continue to glorify God through music.
