FAQs
Where are you located?
Our church campus is located at 106 SW 3rd Street in downtown Gainesville, Florida. Our offices are open Monday through Friday, and you can call us at (352) 378-1527.
Where should I park?
We own a large lot across from the main entrance to the sanctuary on SW 2nd Avenue. Entrances to the lot can be found on SW 3rd Street (southbound traffic only) and SW 5th Street. There is also diagonal parking behind the church building on SW 1st Avenue. We respectfully ask that these spaces be primarily used by those with mobility challenges and parents dropping off or picking up at the preschool. There is street parking and a city garage on the rare occasion that our lot is full.
What time are services?
We offer two traditional worship services with liturgy and organ-led hymns. Join us at 8:30 a.m. in Iona Chapel for a smaller service. Enter through the double doors to the right of the main office on SW 3rd Street. Worship at 11 a.m. in the main sanctuary. Ushers will greet you by the pillars on SW 2nd Avenue.
What should I wear?
Come as you are! Our congregation varies from dressed up to dressed down and anything in the middle. Wear whatever makes you comfortable.
Is there something for my kids?
We offer nursery care for infants 6 weeks old through children in pre-kindergarten on Sundays from 10:45 a.m. through the end of the 11 a.m. worship service. Children of all ages are welcome to join us in worship. About mid-way through the 11 a.m. service, we have a Time for Young Disciples, a short lesson for children based on the sermon text. During the school year, children in kindergarten through second grade are then dismissed to Kids-for-God for a special lesson and fellowship time.
When is communion served?
Communion is served every Sunday at our 8:30 a.m. worship service in the chapel. At our second service, communion is several times a year on church holidays, such as Pentecost and Easter. The communion table is open to all who profess faith in Jesus Christ.
How do I watch online?
If you are not able to join us in person, our sanctuary service is available live on our YouTube channel every Sunday morning. The video will air from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. or you can watch any time after noon. Alternatively, you can tune in to Cox Channel 11 from 9-10 a.m. for our televised broadcast or MyTV 28.2 for over the air broadcasts. These services are on a one-week delay.
